Auch ich hab es schon vermisst, das man bei Geocaching.com nicht mehrere Locations für die Umkreissuche angeben kann. Im Genusscacher-Blog hab ich dann einen pfiffigen Hinweis gefunden, wie man das mittels Greasemonkey und dem Skript MyGeoPlace von Lukas Vana im Firefox elegant lössen kann:

Adding new mapservers to the Geocaching Live Beta

Some of you may have noticed that Geocaching Live Beta allows the addition of new mapservers to the program. After reading the discussions in the Geocaching Live Beta Discussion Group and searching the net I found the following website which gave me further valuable informations:

Experimental Tile Calculator

Putting the information on this website together with the informations from the Geocaching Live Beta Discussion Group I found the following new mapservers for the Geocaching Live Beta:

Name: Google Maps Street
URL: http://khm.google.com/maptilecompress/t=1&x=[X]&y=[Y]&z=[INVZ]
Projection: WGS84/Spherical

Name: Google Maps Aerial
URL: http://khm.google.com/maptilecompress/t=2&x=[X]&y=[Y]&z=[INVZ]
Projection: WGS84/Spherical

Name: Google Maps Hybrid
URL: http://khm.google.com/maptilecompress/t=3&x=[X]&y=[Y]&z=[INVZ]
Projection: WGS84/Spherical

I tried them all and they work pretty well in my Geocaching Live Beta!

I also figured out how to use the experimental Osmarender from the OpenStreetMap project:
